For me to love a lipstick, there are some very specific requirements. It must be creamy, non-drying, and smell incredible. There’s nothing worse to me than putting that waxy lipstick scent on your lips, you know what I mean? I loved the previous Fitglow Beauty Lipstick formula, so I was unsure how how they could possibly make their new lipsticks, the Fitglow Beauty Lip Colour Creams, any better – but somehow they have done just that!
Let’s start with the packaging, it’s so luxe! It has this really unique mechanism that pops the lipstick out, and I love that with this design my lipstick cover won’t fall off while it’s in my purse. The formula is creamy, and packs a lot of pigment.
Here’s what Fitglow Beauty has to say about their lip cream. “It’s a 3-in-1 lip treatment that nourishes lips with clinically-proven super plant extracts to revive lips natural youthful appearance. Feeding lips at a cellular level, this hydrating cream strengthens and replenishes collagen to increase fullness and firmness while also conditioning and healing the lips.” Sounds pretty incredible doesn’t it?
In my experience they do make my lips look better throughout the day, instead of dry like most lipsticks. I also like how as the colour fades it doesn’t appear patchy, but instead it leaves the lips looking nicely stained.
The nudes are easily the colours that I gravitate to the most. My previous favourite was always Buck, but I was so happy to see that they added Pure, another very wearable nude with a slightly less peach and appears slightly more neutral on the lips. The shade called Beach is a darker nude with a really pretty sheen. I find this colour makes my lips look a little more full. In the following photos I am wearing Buck, Pure, and then Beach. Aren’t they perfect?!
Now let’s talk about the brighter shades. I feel like Fitglow Beauty really had ever occasion in mind here. From brunch with the girls, to date night, and everything in between. In the following photos from top to bottom we have Beet, the prettiest bright pink with a hint of coral. Adore, a plum with violet undertones. Aura, which just might be my favourite deep berry red, and finally Love a classic red that will suit any skin tone.
